But, we refueled with hot chocolate and frequent warming breaks in the mall and made it through the shift. It was so fun! The kids had a great time and I loved doing this as a family. This definitely will become a Christmas season tradition for the Caseys.

Silver Bells
Last year, one of the families in our life group mentioned that they volunteered to bell ring at one of the Salvation Army kettles. I thought it was such a great idea and an easy way for the whole family to give back to the community at Christmas. When we told the kids what we were doing, they were very excited! It wasn't a great weather morning because it was cold and rainy, but we headed out to the mall anyway. They were pretty excited for the first, oh, 20 minutes of our two hour shift! :-)
