Half a Year

Hannah is 6 months old today. Where has the time gone? This month has been tons of fun with Hannah. It really seems like she is doing new things every couple of days. She has completely mastered rolling over from front to back and seems like she is getting close to go from back to front. She can get her legs and hips over, but can't quite get her upper body going yet. She also has been getting much more vocal lately and loves to talk up a storm...I don't know where she get's that from? :-) Besides talking, she laughs and smiles all the time! Tim and I love to find different ways to maker her laugh out loud...it is one of the sweetest sounds to our ears. She is working on sitting up and sometimes can do it for a few seconds by herself. She also has tried lots of food and really loves her vegetables! Her favorites seem to be sweet potatoes and peas, although she eats green beans and squash as well. She doesn't mind peaches and pears and can tolerate applesauce. She didn't seem to mind the taste of banana's, but they gave her some belly issues so we havn't done them lately. She also has been putting EVERYTHING in her mouth that she can get her hands on....hands, feet and any toy around. There are no teeth yet, but I think she is working hard on them. Overall, it has been a fun month and I know that it will just get better each month. I am really loving my time home with her this summer and am excited that I still have 6 weeks or so left. Hannah, you are still such a blessing to our lives and we are excited to continue to watch you grow. We love you!

Aunt Nikki and Uncle Kyle's Wedding

We set off with my mom for a week long trip to the Northwoods to get ready for the big wedding. As Nikki's matron-of-honor, it was nice to be there the week before so I could help with any last minute plans or projects. It was also fabulous that my mom was able to join us not only for the eight hour trip up there but to help with Hannah and the wedding projects as well. It was a fabulous week! It was great to spend time with Tim's family and then cap it all off with a beautiful wedding! Being an only child, Nikki is truly the sister I never had. We love her and Kyle so much and want to thank you for letting us all be a part of your special day! We also want to thank Nana and Papa for being such good hosts for us during the week. We love each and every one of you! Here are some pictures from through out our week.
Hannah and Sophie became pretty good friends while we were there!

Happy Father's Day!

Before Hannah and I left for our next big trip, we celebrated father's day with the best Daddy ever! I am so blessed to have such a great husband who has already showed what a great father he is. Timmy, thank you for being the best Daddy you can be for Hannah. She is truly blessed! We love you!

We love you, Gwannie!

Tonight we got to hang out with my mom and dad at the O'Fallon Relay for Life event. My mom had appendicital cancer about a year and a half ago and has been cancer free ever since! This is her second relay for life and it was fun to celebrate with her. Thank you, Gwannie for being so strong! We love you!

Fun with Friends

As soon as we made it home from Madison, Kristina, her kids (Sadie and Kinnick) and Lindsey headed down south for a fun girls trip. We originally planned this to be a scrapbooking extravaganza, but that didn't quite happen. We did get a little done, but more importantly had tons of fun hanging out! We did a little shopping, a few fun things with the kids (like Mickey D's playland) and a lot of laughing! We loved having them here! One evening, we broke out one of Hannah's baby pools for the kids to play in. Sadie loved it....Kinnick and Hannah were not quite as fond (it was a little chilly). Overall, it was a fabulous few days! Thanks, girls, for making the trip down! Can't wait to do it again...maybe at the Ozarks??? :-)Kinnick and Hannah....while the water was a little cold, they didn't mind hanging out on the side.
Sadie on the other hand loved the baby pool! Hopefully Hannah will too one of these days!

First Trip of the Summer

The Casey's started off the summer right with a week long trip away. We started our mini-trip going to Bloomington, IL to watch the OTHS baseball team at the sectional finals. It was a great win that allowed the boys to keep playing in the post season. After that, we all headed to Little Galilee Christian Assembly for my uncle's week of High School camp. Tim dropped us off and then was able to rejoin us at the end of the week while Hannah and I stayed all week. It was fun to hang out with the high school kids and have a little down time. Here is a family picture of us at Hannah's first week of camp. When we left camp, we headed to Joliet, IL for the high school state baseball tournament. O'Fallon would be playing on both Friday and Saturday. The boys lost the game on Friday, so they would be playing for 3rd place on Saturday. But, before Tim could be there for the Saturday game, we kept heading north to Madison, WI for Kyle and Nikki's respective bachelor/bachelorette parties. We hung out in Madison in the morning with Tim's family and then Tim headed back to Joliet for the 3rd place baseball game. Hannah and I stayed in Madison for a fun day with the girls celebrating Nikki's upcoming wedding. We started our day at a pottery place where I painted a pink piggy bank for Hannah. Then we all headed to P.F. Chang's (Nikki's favorite) for dinner. Finally, we went back to the hotel to hang out for the rest of the weekend. Here are a few pictures from our overnight trip to Madison.
