Two Months Already!

I can't believe that I am already writing that our baby girl is two months old! It feels like time has flown by. She is doing really well and I can tell she is growing! We go on Tuesday for her two month check up so I am anxious to see how much she has grown! I went back to school this past Thursday. It was a little sad, but it is nice knowing that Hannah couldn't be in better hands. We are so blessed with our schedules because Tim is home all morning. Then he takes her to Miss Dana's house (our very good family friend) and then I pick her up right after school. Even though it was a little hard, it was nice to be back with my kids at school. I could tell they missed me and I missed them as well. I also recieved flowers from Ken, Delaine, Kyle and Nikki so that was an added bonus to my day. Here is a picture of our little peanut on her two month birthday (or close to it)!

On the Road Again

We spent this past weekend on the road to visit family and friends. When we got to town on Friday, we headed straight to visit Great Great Grandma Casey. We picked up Great Grandma and Grandpa Casey so we could take a five generation picture. What an honor that so few get to be a part of. Here is a shot of five generations of Casey's.

On Saturday, we met a whole lot of family during a joint shower to celebrate Hannah's birth and the upcoming wedding of Aunt Nikki and Uncle Kyle. It was a wonderful day meeting so many new people. Some of these included Great Grandma and Grandpa Hoff and Hannah's newest cousin, Rayna. It was a really fun day! Here are a few shots from the shower.

On Sunday, we stopped at the Gorsch's for dinner and decided to stay the night. We had planned on stopping on our way from Wisconsin after Thanksgiving, but got stuck in a snow storm. We couldn't wait to see Sadie and especially meet baby Kinnick, who is just five weeks older than Hannah. Here are a couple of pictures of our kids together.

Our Gift Dedicated to God

Sunday was a very special day for our family. Every year, our church takes one morning to dedicate any new children born the previous year to God. It is a speical ceremony where the parents and congregation vow to raise up the children to love and honor God. I remember last year, this particular Sunday was very hard on me. We had been actively trying to concieve for about 9 months and all I wanted was to be able to be up on that stage with Tim and a baby. Now, a year later, we were able to do that. Both of our parents were able to be at church with us to help celebrate this day. God is so good and we praise Him for blessing us with Hannah everyday! Tim, Hannah and I on stage during Baby Dedication.

We were so excited that both of our parents were able to be a part in dedication day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a fun Valentine's Day weekend! On Friday, Hannah and I went to the St. Louis Science Center with Holly and Sam (friends from church). That night, we traveled to Belleville East High School to watch the basketball Panther's in action. On Saturday, the Young Adults at church hosted a free Valentine's Dinner for anyone who wanted to spend a nice evening with family and friends. It was a fun day! Here is Miss Hannah in her Valentine's outfit, compliments of Gwannie!

A trip to the doctor and Springfield

On Monday, Hannah had her one month doctor's visit. Everything was great! She now weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz (up 2 1/2 lbs. from birth) and is 19 1/4 in (up 1 1/2 ins. from birth). She is growing like a weed - at least in our minds! She is in the 10th percentile for weight and hasn't quite made the height growth chart, but she'll catch up soon! Everything else looked really good! The doctor even called her perfect - we think so too!

On Tuesday, Hannah and I took a trip to visit my cousin's family in Springfield. Lori (my cousin Gabe's wife) took us to some of her favorite 2nd hand stores to find bargains for the kids. Hadley tagged along with us while Drake played at a friends house. Hadley loved "baby" Hannah and wanted to hold her and play with her. After we left, she then decided to call her "Hannah" - all night she kept saying "Hannah go bye-bye." It will be fun to see them again as the kids all get bigger. Thanks, Lori for a fun afternoon!
