Hannah's One Month Birthday!
It's offical, Hannah is one month old today! I can't believe these last four weeks have gone by so quickly. According to other mom's, time flies all the time. Next thing I know, she'll be 6 months old and then a year! I have cherished every day of this first month of her life. I still have four weeks off until I have to go back to work, so I am excited to enjoy the next month at home with her as well. Tim and I thank God everyday for our little miracle. We are so blessed to be able to call her our daughter! Happy 1 Month Birthday, Hannah! We love you!We decided to take her picture each month with this teddy bear - before too long, she'll be bigger than the bear!

We are Family
Hannah met some extended family this past weekend. First, on Sunday, my aunt and uncle, Jan and Ken, came for a quick visit on their way to their grandkids house. Jan is my dad's twin sister. She and Ken were very excited to meet little Hannah and I think Hannah was mutually excited to meet her Great Aunt and Uncle. Thanks for going out of your way to come meet Hannah! We can't wait to see you again!
The very next day, Hannah was able to meet Great Grandma and Grandpa Sugar, my grandparents. My grandma had been recouperating from a cold and was dying to come meet her next great-granddaughter. Monday, she finally felt well enough to come make a trip to Mascoutah. While they were here, we took a four generation picture. What a special memory for all of us! Thanks for making the trip up! We look forward to seeing you soon!
Out and About
We have had some exciting outings in the last couple of weeks. Last Friday, Hannah, Tim and I had a busy day! We started by visiting my school so Hannah could meet some of my co-workers and my students. Then, we went to OTHS for the Winter Pep rally where Tim competed in the tug of war match (he was with the Sophomores--they beat the Seniors in the finals!) We finished our day with some excting OTHS basketball at neighboring East St. Louis High School where the Panther's were victorious! Here is a shot of Hannah decked out in her (original, but at the time too big) coming home from the hospital outfit. This week, we went to Cahokia High school to eat lunch with Gwannie at her on-campus restaurant. We knew she would be excited to show off her granddaughter to her friends! Hannah is wearing her new shirt from Gwannie that says it all....Yesterday, St. Louis was experiencing some very atypical spring-like weather so Hannah and I decided it was too nice to stay at home! We went to lunch with Tim and then headed to my mom and dad's to take a walk. It felt so good to be outside and I can't wait for the weather to break for good, which I know won't be for a while! Here we are getting ready for our walk.

We have to show off just a little...
When we were pregnant, we decided to have maternity pictures done. We found a wonderful photographer and signed up to do her belly to baby package which included maternity pictures, a newborn session, 6 month pictures and 1st year birthday pictures. On Sunday, she came over for her newborn pictures. Our little Hannah was truly a model! Our photographer is going to be out of town for a week or so, but gave us a sneek peak on her website and blog to hold us over. Just wanted to share with everyone. Her website is http://www.moondancephotography.org/ (go to galleries and then newborn) or her blog is http://www.moondancephotographyblog.org/. We have been so excited to work with her and can't wait for more pictures to come as well as our other future sessions!
Also, we did have a first this week! Yesterday, Hannah officially fit into some of her newborn sleepers! She is getting to be such a big girl! Her she is in her swing with her cute duckie sleeper on!

First Week at Home
Tim, Hannah and I came home from the hospital on New Year's Day. Both sets of Grandparent's, Aunt Nikki and Uncle Kyle, and of course Homer and Bosley were home waiting to greet us. We had a great day with our family! Tim's parent's left on Saturday and we have been enjoying our time together as a family! Here are some snapshots of our first few days at home.
The "boys" meeting Hannah! So far, they have been really good around her!
A happy baby wide awake!
Right after Hannah's first bath at home.
Like my shirt says, I'm adorable!
