We had a fabulous weekend celebrating Easter and our risen Savior. We started by attending our church's Saturday night Easter service. We were a part of a record breaking attendance of 650 people! Our amazing church also decided to give away all of the offerings given Easter weekend. We found out later in the weekend that it was around $40,000! What a blessing it is to be a part of a selfless church who truly acts out what they ask us. The service was so amazing and a wonderful way to kick off the Easter holiday. We got a quick picture of the kiddos before leaving. Don't you love Hannah's "cheese" face?
We also got a family picture at church after the service was over.
The next morning, the kids were up and super excited to see if the Easter Bunny had left anything for them. They were pretty pumped to see goodies on their chairs! Hannah got some new rain boots, a My Little Pony, a new Big Sister church and of course a chocolate bunny!
Although Cam didn't exactly understand what was going on, he did enjoy his new Monster Truck, a fun shirt and new jammies.
Hannah also quickly realized that the Easter Bunny also hid some eggs for her and Cam to find. She had so much fun looking for the eggs-and seeing what was inside!
Cameron's eggs were all sports balls and he also had fun looking and shaking!
After the morning festivities, Tim and I worked on getting lunch together. My parents came over after my dad's church was done and we enjoyed a really nice, traditional meal of ham and all the fixins. When we were stuffed to the brim, the kids got to open Easter baskets from my parents. Then we headed outside for a couple of more egg hunts. By this point, she was really getting the hang of it and was so excited whenever she found an egg!
We had an absolutely wonderful Easter weekend filled with family, food, traditions, and most importantly celebrating our risen Savior. Happy Easter!
